Healthiest Place on Earth

Cape Grim, TasmaniaEver wondered what is the cleanest place on Earth? Since we talked about the most polluted places on Earth, it’s about time we found out the safest places in the world, free from pollution.

Here, extensive data is collected for studies of sources and sinks of greenhouse and ozone-depleting gases. The Cape, at 94m above sea level on spectacular coastline, has a rich history from the formation in the 1820s of the giant Van Diemen’s Land Company, which still runs vast Woolnorth pastoral station, surrounding the site.

At Cape Grim it rains on average 185 days a year and it’s cold. Even native animals don’t like it. There is also the Cape Grim Baseline Air Pollution Station, located in remote north-western Tasmania, provides vital information about changes to the atmospheric composition of the Southern Hemisphere

  1. Hawaii has the cleanest air on Earth! When I was there I could actually feel my lung capacity expanding over the course of three months. It was amazing!

  2. I don’t know how good an idea it is to find the healthiest place on earth since people will probably storm there and make it just as bad as the other polluted places.

This is pretty much the same happening to new tourism attractions.
