Animal Photo Set #5: Albino animals

hedgehog_clipping.jpg

Pigments are the chemicals in our bodies that give us our colors. When a bird or other animal makes no pigments, the condition is called albinism, the animal being called an albino. Here is a collection of albino baby animals, probably one of the cutest galleries yet.

  2. the lions actually aren’t albino, it’s a rare gene mutation.

  5. I like this photos very much and come to see them just different times. Wanted even to steel some. But I’m now fixed about your other post’s hero -the blue tiger, but can’t find good photos for different days.

  6. The beluga Whale is white, it is not an Albino, Migaloo, the White Humpback whale is indeed an Albino.

please get your research done so folks are not misled.

  8. OMG OMG I just creamed myself when i saw that pristine peacocks beautiful feathers, how majestic!!! NOT!! Why don’t you fairies stop blushing over these bland animals and start worshiping something cool, like assault rifles or dragons!? A dragon could torch that peacock so why don’t you guys get the pea-COCK out of your ass and shut the hell up!

  10. Good pictures but not enough. A few months ago my friend bought two gerbils and a few weeks later one gave birth to 5 baby gerbils. Normally gerbils are brownish but one of the babies is pure white with red eyes. Sadly one of the babies died but it wasn’t the albino.
I heard that there was an albino gorilla in arcelona zoo a few years ago too.

  12. The beluga is not an albino animal, he is naturally white. You can however find pics of albino dolphins who turn more pinkish than white.

  14. Please, tell me why it is always going to be true that someone must as if they are a real jerk and post something obnoxious about what someone else feels. Whether you like peacocks or not, please allow others that right. They are incredibly beautiful animals. I might think a sporting rifle is interesting too, but that doesn’t negate anything else. You attitude may suggest some professional help to ease those obvious social problems.

  15. now…if only the same people who see an albino bird as beautiful could do the same for albino humans.
Why is it a bird, with the same genetic mutation as many humans have, is considered beautiful, whereas people are just freaks?
I’m not saying this animals aren’t adorable…I think they are. Its just an observation on the world.
observation number two…wherever there is someone posting something on the net, there is someone else calling it lame. Accept it, ignore the stupidity, and move on. ^_^

  16. In “The Da Vinci Code” one of the villians is albino. Dan Brown, the author of the book that the movie was based on, did that because albinos were used to be thought of devils by the Catholic church. There’s actually two kids who are albinos that go to MY Catholic church. Hm!

  17. the peacock looks cool/awesome.

  18. Sporting rifle? If by sporting your referring to the sport of slaughtering humans…. which is surely more exciting than a peacock.

  19. Actually… The Koala is probably leucistic, since he had a black nose.

  20. Or she. Regardless, the little faun is precious. <3 Heh, while on the topic of albinos, albinos are ALWAYS the bad guys. Mine though is just an anti-hero… And an angel but meh, won’t bother you with that. (My angels’re animalistic and in no way associated with the Christian god. They’re winged humans really.)

  21. baka(stupid)! beluga whales are naturaly white! AlbinoPeacockServant there has never been a shred of proof in dragons actually existing where u just saw proof of a white peacock! theres a 1 in a million chance of finding one in the wild because they are always killed and half the time for their rare feathers by poachers!

  23. Beluga Whales are always white. Why did you put it in the “albino” category?

  25. dont be talking smack about dragons! they dont always have to be evil, y’know!!! Besides, the albino peacock IS beautiful and it is very sad that poachers would kill them and sell their feathers.
