Amazing Octopus Camouflage (Video)

Look closely and you might spot it! Octopuses are the animals with some of the most clever camouflage mechanisms. They remain hidden, carefully blending in with the surrounding environment, until they are discovered. When caught, they eject a thick blackish ink in a large cloud that helps them flee predators. When under attack, some octopuses can even detach their own limbs. See the amazing camouflage mechanism of the octopus caught on tape!

Octopuses are very incredible animals. I watched documentaries with assolutely strange species of ocopuses. And the Acquarium here in Neaples studies them for many years and they write veri interesting things about their behaviour too.
I’ve seen this octopus in action - it’s crazy how they learn to imitate!
Dude, that’s crazy! I didn’t know octopus had camouflage mechanisms. I guess you really do learn something everyday. lol
That’s not an octopus. It is a cuttlefish. Part of the octopus family, but not an actual octopus. They are wicked cool though.
