Since everyone like a good animal friendship story, it’s time for another one, this time with a funny twist, which might not actually be a friendship after all. A cat escaped into the baboons’ cage, the latter deciding to adopt it. Needless to say, the cat had no choice but to accept the baboons’ offer. Here is the outcome of a cat trapped into the baboon cage.

Did this really end well? I’ve tried feeding cats bananas and they don’t like them very much. And why wouldn’t the baboons view the cat as food?
Cats cannot taste sweetness, and this is why cats are often very uninterested in fruit, even though it is very tasty and very good for animals.
As for why the baboons haven’t eaten the cat yet… have you seen how much meat there is, or isn’t, on that kitten? I’d try fattening it up a bit with bananas first
actually, my cat loves bananas. Fights me for his bites every morning. He also likes apple pie filling and fig newtons…go figure
Very good for animals, huh? Check this out: http://home.wildit.net.au/hellohelloben/mystery.html
our Maine Coon cat Demands Cheerios for breakfast. If we have anything else, that’s cool. But if we are eating Cheerios he gets right up on the table and tells us “Cheerios. Now. We don’t want there to be any hangings…”
we give him his cereal.
“And why wouldn’t the baboons view the cat as food?”
Because if he had he would have been bleeding profusely by now with half his ear hanging off.
“And why wouldn’t the baboons view the cat as food?”
…umm, because baboons don’t eat cats.
while baboons are technically omnivores, they are, for all intents and purposes, vegetarians.
looks shopped.
why is it so easily assumed that Baboons eat kittens?
it would be the same thing as me holding a big spider in my hands that’s eating a banana. i’m not going to eat the spider. i may eat the banana, but only if the spider let’s it’s guard down, i don’t want to get into it with the spider. he can have the banana, i don’t really care for them anyway.
@shoop - your head is shopped.
Don’t kid yourself. That kitten is food to the baboon. Pure and simple, baboons are carnivorous.
i’ve never seen a vegetarian catch a flamingo by leaping into the air and proceed to tear it to pieces with their massive canines

Baboons are assholes!
Looks like motherly instinct to me. Its not the first instance of inter-mammal affection. The kitty’s not menacing and zoo babboons get fed in a regular fashion with above-average quantites of food, so they don’t see cats as food. Here baby, eat your banana!
The cat sees thing otherwise: NO WANT!
