Antares - Newest attraction for the Berlin Zoo

Berlin’s Tierpark Zoo proudly introduced on August 5th the newest addition to their animal population, a Siberian cub named Antares. The male cub was born on June 23, 2008 and got its name from a star in the Milky Way galaxy. Antares is the 121st tiger born at the zoo. Siberian tigers are currently listed as an endangered species and every new born is a big step forward to keep the species intact. Here is Antares saying hi to the world!

  19. Antares is absolutely A-A-DORABLE!! He has the most gorgeous dark beady eyes, beautiful markings, and precious facial expression to die for!!!! He is sooooo cute!!!!!!

  20. Antares has the most gorgeous looking face and most expressive little eyes! He has the most angelic face for a tiger baby. I would love to be his zookeeper..he’ll be so spoiled!! Antares should be one of the calendar baby animals.

  22. A very special baby. Endangered and precious to us all. He is such a beautiful baby tiger. Will be 600-800 lbs. as an adult and he’ll grow fast.

  23. OH MY GOD HOW ADORABLE!! I love all the photos. You just want to mush him all day long. Antares is a very very special baby, and has a goregous looking face. They should make him a Tiger Model for calendars and other things. I am a cat lover.
