The Venus Fly Trap (Dionaea muscipula) is the most well known species of carnivorous plants. This plant attracts its pray by using a sweet nectar. Once the insect has landed on the plant and it touches one of its triggers, there’s no escape. The trap snaps closed, trapping the victim.
